Picnic Essentials Worth Packing for Your Next Outdoor Day
Picnic essentials are one of my favorite categories to shop because everything is small enough to feel like a treat but useful enough to justify buying. Williams Sonoma’s Famille Rose picnic basket ties right back into the dinnerware I’ve been collecting, it’s pretty enough to set out even before you’ve unpacked anything from it.

Nordstrom’s bohemian fringe patio umbrella in coral pink and cream is more of a backyard piece, but it photographs so well I had to include it here too. Mark and Graham is doing a lot of the heavy lifting in this roundup, their bamboo round serving tray is what I’d use to carry everything from the kitchen outside, and the raffia-wrapped stemless wine glasses somehow make drinking wine outdoors feel more like an event.
Their scalloped wicker insulated picnic basket is the actual practical pick if you need something that keeps food cold, and the wood portable wine picnic table is the detail piece that makes an outdoor spread look put together instead of just a blanket on the ground.
None of this is required for a good picnic, obviously, but every piece here makes the whole thing feel a little more intentional, which is honestly half the fun of planning one in the first place.
