If you have the Carlton Cannes Beach Club (and Hotel) on your bucket list, this post is for you!!! As I mentioned in my last post about the “best places to stay on French Riviera“, Cannes was one of the destinations where Matt and I stayed for a few nights and enjoyed every second of it!
This post is about the Carlton Cannes beach club, the hotel and a complete review of the rooms.
When we were looking online for the perfect place to stay in Cannes, the Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel came up on every single Google search! We were looking for a lovely hotel that is in a great location, close to the beach, and surrounded by great restaurants, bars, and shopping.
We wanted a relaxing experience, amazing food, and a wonderful place to lounge around the pool and beach while staying in Cannes. I’m so glad we booked at this incredible hotel with the coolest beach club, elegant and relaxing ambiance!
Quick Overview of the Carlton Cannes Hotel and Beach Club
The InterContinental Carlton Cannes is an iconic luxury hotel located in Cannes, on the French Riviera. It was built in 1911. The hotel underwent a two-year renovation to modernize its amenities while preserving its historic charm (which we LOVED!!).
The renovation involved updating its rooms and suites, introducing state-of-the-art facilities, and the dining areas. The main reasons for the renovation were to enhance the guest experience and maintain competitiveness in the luxury hotel market.
One of the highlights of the Carlton Cannes is its exclusive Beach Club. This prestigious beach club is located just steps away from the hotel.
It provides guests with a private beach experience on the Cannes waterfront, offering elegant sun loungers, a beach restaurant and bar, and different water sports activities. This Beach Club was our favorite spot to relax and enjoy the Mediterranean ambiance.

The Carlton Cannes is the perfect example of historic elegance on the French Riviera. Since its inauguration in 1911, it has been a symbol of sophistication. In my opinion, the hotel is more like stepping back in time, with chandeliers and big sweeping staircases, but without making you feel out of place.
I think every corner of this hotel is so elegant and yet charming! The hotel’s façade is inspired by the French Belle Époque. Inside, gilded mirrors, crystal chandeliers, and plush furnishings create an atmosphere of timeless luxury.
With its prime location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, the Carlton Cannes continues to be an incredible hotel choice on French Riviera.

2- Premier Location
It’s right on the famous Boulevard de la Croisette. This street is known for its beautiful stores, luxury boutiques, restaurants, and cafes. It is a great spot for people-watching. LOL!!! The best part? It’s SOO close to the beach. You can smell the fresh ocean breeze and hear the gentle waves lapping the sandy beach.
The area around the Carlton Cannes is what really makes it special. The hotel is close to where the famous Cannes Film Festival is held every year! Since it is located on the glamorous Boulevard de la Croisette, it makes it easy to access Cannes’ major attractions.
This was one of the big reasons that we chose to book at the Carlton Cannes Hotel and beach club. The old town, Le Suquet, Cannes’ highest point offering panoramic city views, is within a short distance from the hotel and beach club!
The Carlton Hotel and beach club is SO close to the beach. We loved it! Matt and I loved to hang out by the pool and the beach the entire time!
You can literally wake up, grab your flip-flops, and be on the beach!!! If you want to do some shopping, there is plenty of that, too. LOL!!!
From high-end stores to cute little French boutiques, you’ll find something that fits your style and budget. These lovely shops are next door to this hotel! I think this hotel is a great blend of luxury, charm, and convenience.

3- Private Beach Access
The private beach access at Carlton Cannes beach club is incredible!! It provides an intimate setting for hotel guests to unwind and relax! You will love this setting while you do not have to deal with the hassle of finding a spot on a jam-packed public beach.
We also loved the beachside restaurant! Whether you’re in the mood for a French meal or just a refreshing cocktail, they have everything for every taste! You can enjoy a wide variety of international and local cuisine. You don’t even have to leave your comfy beach bed. Just wave your hand, and the staff will come to take your order.
If you’re into water sports, they offer several fun options! Jet skiing, parasailing, paddleboard riding, or snorkeling. The beach massages and wellness treatments are heavenly. We did not get to experience the spa. However, we heard from several hotel guests that the spa was fantastic!
Another incredible thing about the Carlton Cannes Beach Club is they know how to throw a beach party!! LOL!! Sometimes they bring cool DJs and sometimes they hire an amazing live band! The experience is incredible!
You can dance barefoot in the sand all day and night, or just relax and soak in the party vibes! It is all about enjoying life to the fullest. This beach club is great for families too! With safe swimming areas and tons of fun activities for the kids, you can rest by the pool or on the beach, knowing that your little ones are having an amazing time!

The grand architecture of the hotel elegantly blends with the natural beachfront surroundings, creating a visual spectacle that is SOOO calming. The beautifully manicured gardens and palm trees make the most breathtaking backdrop for hotel guests that are looking for true relaxation!

Sun lovers will love the open-top design allowing natural light to get in, while those that are not a big fan of the sun can draw the curtains to create the shade they want!

6- Rooms and Suites
When we booked our stay at the Carlton Cannes Hotel, the hotel was just opened after two years of renovation. They re-opened the hotel on March 13th. We stayed there, at the end of May. The hotel interior literally looked BRAND NEW!!! The rooms, shower, bathroom, closet, coffee station… EVERYTHING looked brand new!!!
Each corner of the room is thoughtfully designed and is a perfect blend of classical French elegance and modern comfort. The custom-made furniture is designed with luxurious fabrics, rich textures, and fine wood, providing an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Soft carpets and beautiful drapery frame panoramic views of the sparkling French Riviera, make you feel so welcomed!

Suites offer even more features, with spacious living areas, marble bathrooms, and unique decorative elements that reflect the hotel’s historical charm. Each detail, from the embroidered pillows to the artful arrangement of lighting, is tailored to create a feeling of refined luxury. All I can say is, we LOVED every corner of our room!
Beds
The beds are like floating on clouds! LOL! Covered in the finest Egyptian cotton linens, the sheets have an incredibly soft and silky texture and airy feel, that’s both inviting and relaxing.
Bathroom & Shower
I LOVED the shower!!! It was so lovely, spacious, and elegantly decorated with high-quality materials such as marble and chrome. Every inch of the room, from the marble countertops to the beautiful mirrors, reflects amazing craftsmanship and luxurious design.
The showers have premium toiletries that add a touch of indulgence to each use. Everything in the bathroom is thoughtfully designed, from ample lighting to soft, plush towels.
Room Decor
The room decor looks gorgeous! As I mentioned above, it’s a perfect combination of elegant, classic French decor with modern furniture, bathroom, fixtures and so much more! In my opinion, the renovation has kept the beautiful “old world” but added a touch of sleek 21st-century vibe. You feel it in every corner. It’s like stepping into a piece of history, but with a modern and classic design!
The View
The incredible room views take your breath away!!! No matter if you prefer the Mediterranean Sea, or the Cannes city view, each room offers unforgettable views.
They’ve got these amazing balconies too, where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine while soaking up the Mediterranean breeze!
The hotel’s suites, especially the ones facing the sea, present a panoramic vista of both the coastline and the nearby Lérins Islands. At sunset, the view becomes SO magical.
The colors of the setting sun paint the sky in shades of pink and orange, reflecting off the water and adding a touch of romance to the entire experience. Watching the sunset from the room was our FAVORITE part of the day!
Amazing Service
The room service was phenomenal! Offering a 24-hour service, Carlton Cannes goes above and beyond to cater to the preferences of its guests.
The menu is a wonderful blend of local flavors and international favorites, which was prepared by a team of world-class chefs. If you are craving a midnight snack or a gourmet breakfast in bed, the room service will make it happen!
Presentation is key, and Carlton Cannes takes it very seriously. Meals are delivered with elegance, using fine china and silverware, reflecting the high standards of the hotel. Guests can truly enjoy a five-star dining experience within the privacy of their rooms, with every small detail taken care of.
I think what sets Carlton Cannes’ room service apart from others is the personalized attention and care given to each request. We also enjoyed the complimentary soft drinks, snacks, daily French cookies, and chocolates in your room.
Another incredible offering in their room was Dyson hair dryer! If you are a woman, you will love this incredible offering! LOL!! The rooms are equipped with all the modern amenities that you would expect. Flat-screen TVs, great movie and music choices, high-speed Wi-Fi, and so much more!
I’m a big believer that a good or bad hotel room can make or break your trip and overall, your vacation experience! When we travel, we usually do not spend that much time in our room. However, nothing feels better than getting into a nice shower and then a comfy bed, after a long day of sightseeing.

7- Stunning Architecture
The moment I stepped into the lobby; I fell in love with this hotel! It’s like walking into a fairytale castle with a modern twist.
Imagine towering white pillars, grand chandeliers, and an incredible view of the Mediterranean that makes you feel like royalty. It’s an elegant blend of French Riviera charm and state-of-the-art touches. The interior doesn’t stop at the lobby, though.
Every hallway, every room has a touch of that old-world elegance mixed with modern comfort. I think the true beauty of the Carlton Cannes Hotel’s architecture is its ability to blend history with glamour! It stands not just as a hotel, but as a landmark testament of Cannes.

As I mentioned above, the Carlton Cannes is literally located in the middle of the city. I’m talking about easy access to all the incredible attractions. You are surrounded by many wonderful options (shopping, dining, the beach, and so much more.). Here are some amazing attractions in Cannes that you can explore during your stay:
Palais des Festivals et des Congrè
This iconic building is famous for hosting the Cannes Film Festival and other significant events. It’s located just a short walk away from the Carlton Cannes Beach Club and Hotel.

I’m a sucker for a good view (LOL), and this place just knocked it out of the park! If you ever find yourself in the Carlton Hotel, make sure you book a room with a sea view. Opening the curtains to the Cote d’Azur and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea will have you pinching yourself!!
I found myself just standing at the window, coffee in hand and it’s like a painting you can step into. Whether you’re lounging by the beach, having dinner in their restaurant, or just chilling in your room, the Carlton makes you feel like you are part of something special, something glamorous. It’s Cannes…. and there’s no place quite like it! The view alone is worth the stay. Can’t wait to go back!!

10- Gourmet Dining
The Riviera Restaurant at Carlton Hotel in Cannes
We loved our morning breakfast at this lovely restaurant. While the inside decorations are absolutely stunning, we preferred to enjoy our breakfast on the outdoor patio/balcony.
The panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea adds so much more to the charm of this beautiful restaurant and incredible foods!
The Riviera restaurant offers a luxurious dining experience, it showcases an exquisite fusion of Mediterranean and French cuisine. Its menu is all about freshness and seasonality.
It highlights local seafood, flavorful meats, and ripe vegetables, all masterfully transformed into such mouthwatering dishes by skilled chefs.
Dining at the Riviera Restaurant isn’t just eating. It’s a culinary journey that honors the region’s rich traditions and flavors.

Experiencing the beach, the Carlton beach club is something different! This beach club offers a unique dining experience on the Cannes coastline. The menu is so good, and I think it truly reflects the flavors of the sea!!!
We loved the freshly caught seafood and the finest ingredients of the French Riviera. Oysters, lobster, and local fish are served alongside refreshing salads and different of Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
Ruya Restaurant at the Carlton Hotel
Renowned for its sophisticated Turkish cuisine, Ruya serves a variety of traditional dishes with a modern, refined twist. This elegant restaurant’s location offers stunning sea views, elevating the dining experience.
The unique fusion of the exotic flavors of Turkey with the charm of Cannes makes Ruya an unmissable dining destination on the French Riviera. It’s a delightful exploration of the senses and a cultural immersion.

This bar was Matt and I favorite spot in the hotel! hamada! We loved grabbing couple of drinks in the evening before heading out to dinner! It is absolutely beautiful! The decorations, the most breathtaking chandeliers and the cool lounge music made it such a lovely spot to chill and relax!
It is known for its well-stocked bar, it specializes in serving an extensive selection of world-class wines and Champagnes, perfect for toasting the Riviera lifestyle.
You have to try their most beautiful and delicious cocktails, designed by experienced mixologists. Also, if you are looking for non-alcoholic options, the bar offers a range of elegant mocktails.

11- Health and Wellness Facilities
The spa at the Carlton offers several luxurious treatments! You can book for different treatments, from deep tissue massages and holistic hot stone, to detoxifying facials and aromatherapy sessions.
You will also love the skincare offerings! They use such high-quality, organic ingredients to nourish and rejuvenate the skin.
This gym is perfectly equipped with cutting-edge cardio and strength-training equipment. You can also ask the concierge for a personal training sessions or yoga classes! The wellness facilities may extend to offer nutritional counseling, and several awesome wellness workshops!

As I mentioned earlier, I think the sunset in French Riviera is spectacular. The sky literally turns into this insane canvas of pinks, oranges, and purples, like someone went wild with a paintbrush. hahaha!!
The romantic setting at the Carlton Cannes beach club, adds so much to the lovely sunset time. You can sip on a cocktail, order some delicious French cuisine and dessert and just soak in the scenery.
We loved the yachts in the distance…. They turn into these sleek silhouettes that make everything feel like a movie scene. There is simply something about the way the colors of the sky reflect on the water and even the sand. I wish we could stay there for one extra week, so we could enjoy every single sunset!

In my opinion the Carlton Cannes Hotel and beach club is simply drop-dead gorgeous and it’s the ultimate vacation hotspot!!! It is a place to live the true Cannes lifestyle. A stay at the Carlton is a passport to an extraordinary Riviera experience, immersed in luxury and sophistication. So, if this hotel is not on your bucket list yet, add it in… Trust me, you’ll thank me later! hahaha!
