The Kitchen Pieces I’m Restocking During the Labor Day Sale
I stock up on kitchen stuff every Labor Day because this is when the big cookware brands actually get marked down instead of just the seasonal decor.

The Henckels knife block is a good starting point if you do not already have a full set. Sixteen pieces covers everything from paring to steak knives, and the block itself looks nice enough to leave out on the counter.
For cookware I am torn between three. The Caraway set in cream with gold hardware is the one that looks best sitting out, the All-Clad is the one that performs best on the stove, and the Crate and Barrel taupe set is the one that gives you both for less money.
The Wusthof Asian utility knife is one I did not know I needed until I had one. It is smaller than a chef’s knife but bigger than a paring knife, so it ends up being the one I grab most for everyday cutting.
Last is the nesting measuring cup set, which is a small purchase but the kind of thing that is easy to forget until yours are missing a size. This one clips together so nothing goes wandering in the drawer.
