My Fall Weekend Trip Packing List

I take more short trips in fall than any other time of year, so my fall weekend trip packing list has turned into the same eight things every single time. The C by Bloomingdale’s cashmere animal travel wrap in brown is the first thing that goes in.

I use it as a blanket on the plane and then wear it as a scarf the whole trip, so it earns its space twice. The Slip contour sleep mask in rose is what actually gets me sleeping in a hotel room. The contour shape is the part that matters, it does not press on your lashes and it blocks the light that comes in around the curtains.

The Alo sherpa recovery slipper in ivory is my hotel room shoe. I do not like walking barefoot on hotel carpet and these pack flat, so there is no reason not to bring them. Touchland power mist lives in my bag year round. It does not smell like alcohol and the flat shape does not take up a whole pocket.

The Innisfree green tea ceramide milk toner in the mini size is the one skincare product I will not leave behind, because plane air and hotel air both dry me out and this puts the moisture back fast. The Ulta clear travel bottle kit is the boring one, but it is the reason my shampoo has never leaked, and clear bottles mean security never asks me to open anything. The CHI handheld garment steamer is what I use the second I get to the room.

Everything comes out of a weekender wrinkled, and five minutes with a steamer is the difference between wearing what you packed and wearing the one thing that survived. Last is the Kitsch blush satin pillowcase. It folds down to almost nothing, it saves my hair and my skin, and I sleep better on my own pillowcase than a hotel one. That is the whole list, and it fits in a weekender with room left for clothes.
