These Boho Short Dresses (and Maxis) Are Exactly What Your Summer Wardrobe Needs

There’s just something about boho short dresses in the summer. Maybe it’s the breezy fabric, the fun colors, or the fact that you can throw one on and instantly look like you tried, without actually trying (lol). Every year, I find a few favorites that basically become my summer uniform, and this season’s styles might be the best yet.

Whether you’re off to a beach day, a backyard party, or even an outdoor wedding, these boho minis (and a few gorgeous maxis) are the kind of dresses you’ll want to live in. I pulled together seven of the prettiest styles I’m loving right now!

The Floral Puff Sleeve One

The floral print is simply beautiful, and the puff sleeves add a little extra charm. The smocked waist makes it incredibly comfortable yet still flattering, which is honestly a must for me. I wore something similar to a daytime bridal shower, and it totally worked as a wedding guest dress. Super feminine and floaty.

The White Crochet

If you don’t already have a classic white boho mini dress for summer, this is it. The crochet detail makes it feel special without being fussy. I love wearing this one with simple accessories and flat sandals.

The Vintage-Inspired Floral Dress

If you love vintage-style prints, this one is so good. The floral is kind of soft and muted, and the shape is really flattering without being tight. It’s cute with flat sandals or boots, and if you’re more into midi dresses, you can choose a more extended version too. Either way, it’s giving effortless summer look.

The Off-the-Shoulder One

I’ve always LOVED off-the-shoulder dresses, they strike the perfect balance between flirty and effortless. What I especially love is how versatile it is, you can wear it during the day with sandals and a messy bun, then switch to wedges and earrings for an easy dinner date look. It’s also one of those silhouettes that flatters almost everyone and makes you feel confident without trying too hard. Whether you’re on vacation, running errands, or just grabbing your favorite coffee, it’s the kind of dress that turns a regular day into something a little more special.

The Sunset Color Dress

This one seriously looks like a summer sunset in dress form, and I mean that in the best way. The soft blend of oranges, pinks, and peachy tones gives it that warm, glowy vibe that instantly makes you think of golden hour. It’s breezy, lightweight, and perfect for those warm evenings when you want to feel effortlessly pretty. I love pairing it with tan sandals and minimal gold jewelry to keep the look soft and romantic without overdoing it.

The Patchwork Boho Vibe

This style of dress gives a fun retro feel in the best way possible. The patchwork print has that vintage feel, it’s lightweight, breathable, and just easy to wear, which is a must when it’s super hot outside. I love how versatile it is too. You can throw it on with white sneakers for a chill day out or dress it up with sandals and a cute bag. And if you’re more into sets, I even saw it in a matching two-piece version, which would be adorable for summer trips or brunch with friends.

The Halter Neck

A halter neckline is one of those styles that just works, on so many body types. It highlights your shoulders and collarbone in a really elegant way, and it pulls everything upward, giving you a more lifted, elongated look. I love it because it feels a little more special than a basic tank or strapless dress, but still super wearable. It gives that soft, summery look from the front, and then surprises you with an open back for just a hint of drama.

How I Style My Boho Dresses

Honestly, I don’t overthink it. Here’s what I usually do:

  • Add statement earrings or some layered necklaces.
  • Flat sandals for errands, platform heels if I’m going out.
  • Throw on a cropped denim jacket if it’s breezy
  • Sometimes I’ll add a wide-brim hat or a woven bag to bring in more of that laid-back summer feel.
  • If I’m heading out in the evening, I swap in a clutch and bold lip color, it instantly makes the whole look feel a little dressier.

Final Thoughts

These are some of the cute boho dresses I’m loving this season! They’re easy, cute, and the kind of pieces that’ll live in your closet all summer long. I already added a couple more to my cart while writing this post (lol). Let me know which one you like the most:)

Love,

Sherry XOXO
