Blue and White Toile Dress Ideas: Two Ways to Wear Staud’s Print
Staud’s blue and white toile dress might be my favorite thing to come out this summer, and I liked it so much I’m showing you two ways to wear it. The full-length Wells dress is what I’d wear to an actual event, it has that corseted-waist shape that photographs beautifully, and the mini version is what I’d wear for a lunch or a day date, same print, much more casual.

I paired both with the Tommy bag in the matching swimmers print because when a brand gives you a coordinated bag like that, it’s basically a rule that you have to buy it. For a neutral option that goes with everything else in your closet, the Anthropologie bucket bag in vegan leather is soft, structured, and not trying to compete with the print.
Shoes-wise, I went with the Dolce & Gabbana espadrille sandal because it dresses everything up without looking fussy, gold hardware, comfortable enough to actually walk in. I’d finish the whole thing off with a delicate gold necklace, nothing heavy, just something that catches the light without pulling focus from the print itself.
This is one of those looks where the pieces are strong enough that you really don’t need to overthink the rest of the outfit, throw it on, grab the bag, and you’re done. It photographs just as well in real life as it does on a hanger, which is rare for a print this bold.
